Update

On Friday, July 29, 2011, Rowen & I had to spend the night at Childrens Hospital in Orange County for a scheduled sleep study.  The doctor was concerned about his irregular breathing and drop in oxygen saturation (this is why he failed the car seat test at the hospital) - so they wanted to monitor him while he was sleeping. It was a very long night - with very little sleep - especially since we had to share a room with another little one who cried almost all night. : (

Rowen seemed to do fine - even though he really hated all of the wires attached to him.  I think he was more irritated about the wires than anything else. Anyway, they weighed him while we were there and he now weighs 10 lbs. 6 oz.  He is really getting to be a BIG BOY!

  3. We went to the pulmonologist yesterday and the results were...he PASSED the sleep test! Woohoo!! The doctor just said some babies need a little help with regulating their breathing. We are giving him caffeine and Zantac - caffeine to regulate the breathing and the Zantac to help with the spit up caused by the caffeine. His breathing is definitely getting better - although he has to stay hooked up to the sleep monitor at home until the end of September.
